Review

  • Smart-ish plot (+1/2)
  • Contrived plot (-1/2)
  • Low expectations, surpassed (+1/2)
  • Good suspense/booh effects (+1/2)

I was braced for a lot of stupid people acting “appropriately stupid” in this movie, and was not disappointed. What surprised me were the bits where people were actually smart and prepared (mainly, Jaime Lee Curtis’s character, but even her daughter surprised me) and I didn’t leave the theater feeling like I’d been taken for a fool. Surprisingly better than I would have expected (but not Scream-good, sadly).

Score: 6/10
