Circa 1968, several strangers, most with a secret to bury, meet by chance at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one night, everyone will show their true colors – before everything goes to hell.
- Very surprising storyline (Tarantino done right) (+1)
- Great cast (Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, etc.) (+1)
- Great direction & editing (+1)
- A tad longer than expected, but worth it (+0)
The movie has a good pace, a great story, and a lot of surprises that will make a first viewing very enjoyable. I don’t know that I’d enjoy a second viewing as much, but I was constantly surprised, stimulated, and curious to see what would happen next. Not your average (boring/predictable) Tarantino movie!
